Week 3 exercise: analyzing a title sequence

In this lesson we choose the title sequence – Split to analyze, it is a story about a man with multiple personalities kidnapping a girl. We investigated the possible use of techniques, transitional elements, color treatments, graphic elements, imagery, typography, film languages. This title sequence used digital techniques to reflect the guys multiple personalities, black and white color to show the contrast of a normal mind and abnormal mind, but with no graphic and imagery elements, used Helvetica typography and used lots of close ups to stimulate the audience to guess what’s happening in the surroundings.
